What is the difference between a Sheet Set and a Sheet Parure?

The sheet set includes a flat sheet, a fitted bottom sheet and one pillowcase for single and three-quarter beds, or two pillowcases for double beds. The sheet parure does not include the bottom sheet and consists of the flat sheet and one pillowcase for the single and three-quarter version, or two pillowcases for the double one.

What is the difference between a quilted and non-quilted bedspread?

The quilted bedspread is made with a light padding and is suitable for spring and autumn. The padding used can be either hypoallergenic polyester fibre or cotton; the non-quilted, or summer, bedspread is unpadded, suitable for the summer season and made of cotton fabric.

What is the difference between a quilt, a duvet and a duvet cover?

Quilts, more commonly called duvets, are ideal for winter. They are filled with hypoallergenic synthetic, wool and silk, kapok or feathers to ensure maximum comfort. They are typically characterised by square or linear stitching, ideal for cold winter nights.

Duvets are the inner filling to be placed inside the duvet covers and can be made of goose down, hypoallergenic polyester fibre or kapok, and are lined with feather-proof cotton. They come in white or beige.

The duvet cover is the sack that contains the duvet. Made of pure cotton, combed, percale and satin, they can be solid colours, patterned, elegant jacquard weaves or refined embroidery.

How do I choose a duvet?

Gabel makes duvets with feather, hypoallergenic polyester fibre, microfibre, kapok and other sustainable fibres for a duvet suited to every need. Feather duvets are particularly warm, soft and light on the body.
They can have different weights to suit your sleeping style and any season. The different percentages of down and small feathers make it possible to offer products tailored to every requirement. Sleeping with a feather duvet not only guarantees constant warmth and maximum breathability, it is like sleeping on a cloud. There is also the four-season feather duvet, which consists of 2 duvets that can be used both separately or together, depending on the level of warmth desired.

Duvets filled with hypoallergenic polyester fibre are extremely practical. You can use the 90 g/m² weight model during the warm season, the 220 g/m² one during autumn or in mild winters or in heavily heated environments, and the 320 g/m² filling, which is more suitable for the coldest weather. Microfibre duvets have a softness similar to feather ones but are much cheaper. We also offer the Four Seasons model: made up of two duvets, one lighter and one medium, equipped with snap buttons, it allows you to decide the desired weight every time.

Only our duvets feature the patented PIUMIO system, which allows quick insertion of the duvet into the duvet cover and anchors it to keep it in place. Changing the duvet cover will be quick and effortless!

What is the difference between a table service and a tablecloth?

The table service consists of the tablecloth and matching napkins. It comes in different sizes, the most common being: table service for 6, 8, 12 people. It will allow you to set elegant and fully coordinated tables. The tablecloth, on the other hand, does not come with matching napkins, which are usually sold separately.

Which countries do you ship to?

We deliver throughout Italy (including the islands), the European Union, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom (with an EORI code required for customs clearance). Deliveries are to street level. It is not possible to request floor-level delivery or scheduled appointments.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight, the size of the products and the country of destination. For all online purchases over €139, shipping in Italy is free. For countries like Switzerland and the United Kingdom, customs clearance costs will be calculated separately.

What are the delivery times in Italy?

We undertake to hand over your products to the courier within 5 working days of receiving your order. We cannot guarantee these times during particular periods of the year (holidays, Black Friday, August and sales, etc.), in case of courier strikes or force majeure (weather conditions). We recommend that you always check that the address you entered for delivery is correct before confirming your order.

What are the delivery times and costs abroad?

Delivery costs are calculated in the order once the selected country has been determined. Customs costs may be added where applicable. Times will be defined once the country of delivery of the order has been chosen.

How can I track an order?

You will receive an order confirmation e-mail and an e-mail when the order is handed over to the express courier, with a link to check the path of your parcel (tracking) from the courier's pick-up to the actual delivery. By when can I return an item?

The return request must be made within, and no later than, 14 days from the date of receipt of the parcel, as required by law. The cost of returning the products is at your expense.

You can exercise the right of withdrawal for one or more products purchased online.
The products must be in perfect condition, unused, accompanied by their original packaging and complete with any accessories and instructions.

How does the return process work?

If you want to make a return, follow these simple steps:
- write to Gabel customer service at [email protected] to communicate your intention to withdraw from the order, attaching pictures of the product you want to return;
- the images will be examined by our quality office, which will authorise the return, subject to inspection;
- carefully prepare the package to protect it during transport and place the form you received by e-mail inside it;
- cut out and place the label with the recipient's address on the outside of the parcel;
- the courier will pick up the parcel within the agreed time.

How much are the return costs?

We will contact the courier to schedule the pick-up at the same delivery address: the cost is €12.20 for the pick-up and will be deducted from the refund.

How are order refunds processed?

The refund (equal to the amount of the returned items, excluding return costs) is processed using the same payment method used at purchase. Refund times are on average 15 working days from the moment the returned product has reached our warehouse. In case of payment by credit card, please note that the time needed to see the refund on the account depends on your card-issuing institution. Only products in perfect condition, unused and accompanied by their original packaging will be refunded.

What should I do if I receive a defective/damaged product?

I am not receiving order confirmation and shipping e-mails. What can I do?

These e-mails can be delivered to your inbox in "junk mail" or in the "spam" folder, since e-mail systems are increasingly attentive to protecting the privacy of their users, for example by identifying as unwanted the e-mails that are not part of your contacts.

I cannot make the payment, what should I do?

If the payment is not authorised, check that your credit card numbers or the expiry date are not incorrect, and check with your bank that the payment is not being blocked. For security reasons, customer service does not have access to your banking details but remains available to help you.

How can I clear my cache?

A cache that is too full can slow down the browser and sometimes even prevent it from working. On a PC, for most browsers on the market (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox), pressing the following shortcut keys Ctrl + Shift + Del provides access to the options to immediately clear the cache (called Temporary Files in Internet Explorer).
