From 6th to 10th October 2021, Somma 1867 will be the official sponsor of the Lake Como Design Festival: an immersive and inclusive experience dedicated to the world of design which will be held in the city of Como and its lake.

“History Repeating. How designers look at history” is the theme of this year’s collective exhibition: a set up focused on the role of history where a selection of the last century-inspired objects and accessories made by the most important international contemporary designers will dialogue together.

The History Repeating exhibition will be hosted within the Sale del Ridotto of Teatro Sociale and it will be accompanied by a series of itinerary events which will take place in prestigious new locations in the city center.

In particular, this third edition of the Festival will see the opening to the general public of Palazzo Mantero, an architectural jewel of the city built in 1923. For the occasion, Lake Como Design Festival will present "ReEditions": a project dedicated to the theme of the re-editions selected in the vast scenario of 20th century design. It will be in this suggestive setting that Somma 1867 will have a dedicated space in which the Cosmo throw in its two colors nuances blue and bordeaux by the Oscar F / W 2021-2022 collection will be exhibited, being  an article re-edited from an archive throw dating back to the 1960s.

Therefore, another unmissable appointment with design and a moment of reflection and exploration on the theme of icons and its interpretations, as well as a unique opportunity to discover Palazzo Mantero¸ open for the first time to the public.
